Verify tracking

Check that Graytower accepted a pageview and understand each tracking status.

Verification checks whether Graytower has stored a pageview from your Website. It does not require Stripe or a custom event.

Check your installation

  1. Deploy the tracking snippet and open a page on that live domain.
  2. Return to Website → Settings → Tracking. Find the Tracking status card.
  3. If it still says Waiting for tracking activity, select Verify installation. The card also refreshes automatically while waiting.
  4. Look for Receiving events and the Last stored pageview time.

Understand the status

StatusWhat to do
Waiting for tracking activityVisit a deployed page, then use Verify installation. No pageview has been accepted yet.
Receiving eventsTracking is working. The card shows when the last pageview was stored.
No recent trafficGraytower received a pageview before, but none in the last 72 hours. Visit the site and check the installation.
Tracking paused by plan limitReview usage under Workspace → Billing. Stripe revenue sync continues.

If Graytower is still waiting

Check that the tracker tag appears on the deployed page, that data-domain is the registered root, and that data-write-key matches your Website's current key. In the browser Network tab, look for the script and the /api/collect request. A blocked request, 401 unknown key, or 403 origin mismatch gives you a concrete next step. Follow Tracking not detected for the full checklist.
